Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise, it is not luxury.

It is just as disastrous to have the wrong accessories in your room as it is to wear sports shoes in an evening dress.

About Us

“We are a collection of our choices, experiences, and passions; simplistic or grand, our homes should be made sanctuaries which reflect that.”

By developing her design skills through her Bachelor’s of Science at Brigham Young University and her career work with Ethan Allen, Kelsey has quickly become one of Utah’s most highly recommended interior designers. Modern Vintage Country Dining Room Transformation

I know modern/vintage is an oxymoron. But it is also a design style!! Well at least now it is haha. I usually am not too concerned with following a particular design style because most of my clients don’t fit into one box. They love what they love and usually that is quite a mix! Good thing eclecticism is IN! Don’t get me wrong, there is definitely beauty in designing a pure style and I do LOVE doing that as well. And now I am rambling. ANYWAYSSS this space! It went from dark and dated to fresh, cheery, and inviting.

But before we get to the reveal I just have to talk about something, actually someone, SO AWESOME!! If you haven’t heard of Carissa Miss before, do yourself a favor and go check out her beautiful blog! This girl is the sweetest thing and so talented. She helped me shoot a few rooms in one of my clients homes and gave me some amazing photography tips. This is one of those rooms- so pic cred goes to her! I will be posting the others in the coming weeks, as soon as I get around to editing (it only took me a month to get around to editing this first room haha).

OK, so here are the before photos! Though the furniture was classic, it was not my client’s style, and the room in whole was dark and needed updating.

And here are the afters! We did not change the flooring, wainscotting, or window treatments, but added grasscloth wallpaper! Though the grasscloth is darker, I kept the rest of the furnishings light and neutral so the space would feel open and bright. I brought in color through the floral rug and the abstract framed art.

Master Bedroom Makeover

Hello!! I am SO sorry it has been so long, but I PROMISE that will be changing. 🙂

I am beyond excited to finally reveal this Master Make-over to you! It was so much fun to do. I loved this project because it is a great example that you don’t always have to change the “big” stuff to make a BIG impact! My clients wanted their master to become a retreat, somewhere calming where they could come to escape the hustle and bustle and just unwind. They requested that we keep their main furniture pieces, and not change any finishes. This room proves that sometimes all it takes is some proper space planning, accent pieces, and fresh accessories to completely re-vamp your space.

Without further ado let’s get to it! Be ready for a SERIOUS photo overload.. cause let’s be honest. No one looks at Interior Design Blogs to find some good reading. It’s all about the photos!

They love their new space, and so do I. White bedding is my GO TO, if you haven’t noticed.. haha I really wish there were emoji’s on blogs! Anyway, yes when in doubt, for master bedding go WHITE! It is just so romantic, fresh, inviting, sexy, CLASSIC. Also you may notice what a different it made just taking off the Rod Iron details on the furniture! Canopy beds are so iconic, but the iron scroll-work pulled it in a Tuscan direction which we didn’t want. Removing it gave the pieces new life, and a clean pallatte for our spa-like retreat.

I have not listed the links as this was a private client, but if you have inquiries about where I sourced a certain piece please don’t hesitate to ask! Just shoot me an email.

Man it’s good to be back!

Ps.. these photos are basically a “where’s Waldo” game.. haha photographing mirrored furniture is not the easiest! If you look close you can indeed, and embarassingly spy me in a few.. ha!

Love you and thank you for stopping by!!!

Romantic Master Design Boards

Helllooooo!! I hope all of you are just doing wonderfully and enjoying your weekend!

It’s no secret that I love designing Master Bedrooms- ESPECIALLY using nuetrals, and this one was particularly amazing! The bones of the space- 25 foot ceilings, concrete floors, exposed beams- just set the tone for the romantic/masculine vibe perfectly. I can’t wait for you to see these design boards come to life in my client’s amazing home!

So excited to see it all actually come together.
